First time in two years

I just ordered 25kg (55 lbs.) of plaster.  It has been about two years, maybe three since I've poured plaster.

I have to admit that I'm returning to Hirst Arts because he has come out with a new Fieldstone mould and several new 1.5" floor tiles.  The cave moulds are pretty damn cool as well.

Looking into it the last time I built a Hirst Arts model and placed a picture of it has been four years ago.  Where does the time go?

Well I started casting again.  It has been biting into my HPG project a bit.

I shall build paint flock then sell.  I don't have the space to store them with all of my paper models as well.

I too just got 100lbs of flowstone and 5 new molds... I'm starting to cast again. Ya!

How is casting going? I heard someone on one of the terrain site (can't remember which now) that uses a type of false teeth epoxy resin to cast his Hirst Arts molds. Its very hard and very light as opposed to plaster that tends to be heavy.

Speaking of Hirst Art molds, do you guys remember when MK Pyramids came out someone at WizKids created a 36x36 pyramid? I look every where for my MK Resource CDR to pull a picture and I can't find it. I do remeber the pyramid seperated to actually play each level and there were 4 or 5 levels.

Nope I never heard of it.  I do remember when WizKids and Hirst Arts teamed up with a contest to build dungeons.  You had to ship your dungeon pieces to WizKids and they set all of them up together during a convention.

Casting has haulted for me.

Holy Ghosts Batman!  Welcome back Darkmane!  I've given up casting for the moment.  I live in a really small flat now and I find it hard to do in the kitchen compared to my old hobby room.

However I was thinking of getting back into it again real soon.  I need some money so if I could even sell a few for some hobby money that would be grand.

Dark! Dude! Welcome back. How are you?

HP... ya know... if you wanted to get rid of you molds... You have some I don't :woohoo:

I'm building a vibration table. Basically a work bench with a floating top. A 2x4 MDF riding on 10 carriage bolts (I think that's what they are called). I couldn't find springs so I used foam tubes (springy ones).

I have a mouse sander which holds pads by velcro. I want to fasten the sander to the board and see how that works.
