Do I win? [PICS HEAVY]
« on: September 05, 2011, 04:56:03 PM »
An often seen gamer T-shirt has the saying 'He who dies with the most toys wins.'

Now, I've been putting up my new shed as the 'ultimate' game-room and now that almost all my toys and games have been unpacked, I thought I should share...

Let's start small, the kitchen games' cupboard, just for when friends or relatives come over and you pull something out for the kitchen table. How's this for a start...

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d103/ ... G_2558.jpg

Highlights include 7 sets of Uno cards (4 different versions) and 3 sets of an old game called 'Flinch', including a pristine complete 1938 version.

OK, OK, not much of a start, we've all got more than that. How's about we proceed downstairs to the games' closet...

Lots of kid and non-gamer family type games to see there, eh? I know, still not impressed. But hey, I haven't gotten to the shed yet... that's where the real gamers will hang out.

So, getting itchy yet... out in the shed come some real games, everybody's favorite, ping pong and then my Iaido and Jiu-jitsu 'studio'...

Still not impressed... hmmm, OK then upstairs we go... the entry to my mezzanine gaming mecca awaits...

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d103/ ... G_2578.jpg

Getting excited now are we... something for you MK'ers yet? Onward and upward ( the stairs at least) here's what you see at the top of them...

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d103/ ... G_2581.jpg

Now, let's turn a tad to the right, and see Games Workshop corner...

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d103/ ... G_2570.jpg

The games, the scenery and the bloodbowl stash. How many do you recognize? Around 5000-7500 minis on those shelves. Now are we getting excited? Off to Foosball alley next...

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d103/ ... G_2565.jpg

And my painting desk...

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d103/ ... G_2566.jpg

AND NOW... WizKids Korner!

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d103/ ... G_2563.jpg
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d103/ ... G_2564.jpg

Highlights here include well over 10,000 figs, my complete hero and spawn tournament case traveler bag, 7 unopened cases of MKD/Pyramids, 3Uprising cases, 2 Rebellion cases, 2 ea cases of Castle Keeps and Towers, 2 Apocolypse Dragons and the heroic teams from the PC game (only one Chesla though- anybody got a spare). You can see my map underlays on the table, including my blue one for Pirates. Mechwarrior, Heorclix and Shadowrun are also slightly represented. NOW, are we excited?

Last but certainly not least, my 'gamer's BOARDroom and bunkhaus'...

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d103/ ... G_2575.jpg

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d103/ ... G_2573.jpg
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d103/ ... G_2574.jpg

Too many highlights to mention here... how many old time favorites of yours do you see?

Now, I don't plan on kicking off just yet, but if I did, would I win?

Anybody heading through south central PA can feel free to drop me a line and we'll see if we can arrange a game. Deadlast has already been here, although we didn't get a chance to use the shed (it wasn't opened just then). I know he can't wait to get back down here and help me christen the place.

Cheers!

I'm extremely jealous!  The only thing your missing is a plastic mould injector to create your own click bases!

Heh... you copied the shortened URL :i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...y/IMG_2558.jpg (notice the ...)

Instead of the full URL: i34.photobucket.com/albums/d103/ibsonthegrey/IMG_2558.jpg

I'll fix it for you.
