John Speed CC3 map
« on: August 19, 2008, 07:36:21 AM »
I bought the Cartogrpher's Annual 2007 Complete.  In the Febuary '07 is a style pack based off of John Speed style maps.

I have made my first map for my GURPS campaign.  This map is for my players.

I plan to make most of my handouts this way.  Any suggestions?

If you come riding along the Geverin Road, you will hit a wall :-)
No church or temple at all? Or is there one in the barracks (it looks alike)? But this would mean, the barracks are crowded every Sunday...

Looks great, anyway. Get the inspiration from a old city in Oxfordshire, don't you? I grew up in a little town in East Germany looking very much alike this, only without a harbour. If I find time, I could scan you a map of it in it's medieval times.

Greetings

No churches in my campaign world.  Animism or Spirit Worship, Shamanism, etc.  Spirits are plentiful and powerful.  Being so wide spread there is no need for churches and set religions as it differs from town to town.  Makes being a government difficult as you may get two townships fighting from time to time if their spirits conflict.

Although in Thulongrirn they have a minor water spirit that lives in the town fountian.

Yeah I forgot the gate to Geverin Road  I will fix that.
