MechCommander and MechCommander 2
« on: July 03, 2008, 10:19:19 PM »
Since Microsoft released the source code for these games a year ago you can download the games for free at www.mechcommander.org.  I just downloaded them yesterday as my original MC2 disk got left on my desk in a beam of sun light by a seven year old.  Needless to say left in a house with no AC and everyone gone for the weekend it was pretty much hashed in that 103 F weather.

I still have the manuals (I never throw much away)

Anyways it does have multiplayer options on them and I belive you can connect by ISP so if anyone is interested let me know.

Thier are also a few good mods out there that allow you to add new mechs, vehicles and infantry as well.

Personally I wish someone would make a Mechwarrior or BattleTech mod for Supreme Commander.

I really like driving the mechs myself.
I did enjoy Mechcommander as well.
Good gaming

But like many fan made games I will not get my hopes up until I see the final bug free release.
