Tired of the traditional Hack n' Slash standard game? Want to try something just a little bit different? Then keep you eye out for the download section for scenarios for MKD (Mage Knight Dungeons)! Our first scenario is a zip file with 2 pdf files in it. The first is the scenario "Necropolis Prisons" and the second is special tokens and map tiles you can use for the game! Can you save the prisoners before time runs out, or the other team gets them first?

  • Dungeon Deck Play Tested

So here I have been making all these tiles and cards and I still had not tried them out.

I was not able to find anyone to play a game with me so I tried it out with the Solo Rules. All and all I must say I enjoyed it very much.

I took 11 dungeon cards and the tiles that represent them. I picked my starting position and drew my first card. I will not into major depths into the battles and magespawn I fought as this is not a battle report but a play testing report. on the following picture I labled the tiles as I drew them.

  • MKD Dream Team 4

When thinking of the Dream Teams the first thing I try to do is make a combination that is different and rarely used by most players. Why you ask (or even if you did not ask)? Because I've noticed a trend in teams that most players use, and they are all about the same. With all the different options of Heroes out there I knew that different combinations can be used. Besides they would only collect dust at the bottom of your storage bin, and that is a waste of money. The next thing I look for is to make the team fun and challenging, even difficult at times. This time I also wanted to add a theme. I got several. This team is a Range Combat Team, Has one figure from each Dungeons booster (Dungeon, Pyramids, Hero Quest, and Dragons Gate) and by accident they are all Female.

Welcome to the second installment of Mage Knight Dungeons: Dream Team. In these articles we will attempt to show different, unusual, and challenging teams for people to play. The first Battle Report for Mage Knight Dungeons is done. Now this is just a generic Battle Report. The Battle Reports that will follow will be more graphic and have movement maps to go with it. Please make sure you comment so I know what you (the readers) want to see in these reports. This first installment is a capture the flag scenario with all of the Mage Spawn being undead (Skeletons, Zombies, etc.)

When playing Mage Knight Dungeons the perfect team can be a difficult and critical decision you will make for that game. Many players (myself included) fall into a slump and never try any new teams or combinations. This will cause their MKD experience to go stagnant.

In the DREAM TEAM articles we will try to spice up your game by offering you new options for teams, may they be your standard teams with a different format or an unusual combination that challenges your mind.
